A tribal festival showcasing the detailed cultures and practices of the 18 known naga tribes.

“The more skulls we collected, the better the harvest, the healthier livestock,” says Wangchah, one of the headhunters. Konyak tribe, particularly known for headhunting, not just tiger, bear, birds but heads of humans from other tribes or enemies is like a trophy in their house and this trophy was an integral part of getting married to a beautiful women.

Headhunting was banned around independence primarily due to the influence of Christian missionaries and the subsequent ban by the Indian government but they are still wild and nearly as good as chopping our head off like a piece of carrot.
